New lawns and reticulation in Perth
A good lawn starts below the surface. We install new lawns and reticulation systems with proper preparation, so your yard establishes well and stays green with sensible watering.
Preparation makes the lawn
Much of Perth sits on sandy soil that drains quickly and holds little water or nutrition. A lawn that is simply rolled out over unprepared ground will often struggle. Levelling, soil preparation and getting the finished height right before turf goes down all help the lawn establish and stay healthy.
We prepare the area first, then lay the lawn so it meets paths, garden beds and paving cleanly. A neat garden edge along the boundary keeps it that way.
Reticulation that works
A reticulation system should water evenly and efficiently, without drenching paths or wasting water. We install systems to suit the size and shape of the area, and we plan layouts with the lawn, garden beds and any new paving in mind.
Western Australia has rules about watering, and they can change. We will discuss your water source and the current requirements when we plan the job.
Lawn that suits your yard
Different turf varieties suit different amounts of sun, shade, traffic and maintenance. We can talk through the options for your yard so you choose a lawn that fits how you use the space.

Lawns & Reticulation questions.
Can you install reticulation and lawn together?
Yes, and it is usually the best way to do it. Laying the retic first means the pipes and sprinklers are in the right place before the lawn goes down.
Why do lawns struggle in sandy Perth soil?
Sandy soil drains quickly and holds little moisture, so lawns can dry out fast without good preparation and a suitable watering system. Preparing the soil and setting up reticulation correctly gives the lawn a better chance.
Do I need to follow watering rules with a new lawn?
Western Australia has watering rules that depend on your water source and the time of year. Check the current rules for your area, and we will take them into account when we plan your system.
Can you replace part of an existing lawn?
Yes. We can renovate or replace all or part of a lawn and tie it in neatly with paving, garden beds and edging.
